Tight jeans first came into style in the 1950s, with the popularity of rock’n’roll. Like rock, tight jeans also became a symbol of revolt for youth. Since then, tight jeans have been in and out of fashion, but never out of minds.

Tight jeans are loved by men and women alike who wish to show off their figures. They range from low-rise hip-huggers to jeans which are tight on the thighs but flare down the leg. Low-rise tight jeans are the hottest apparel for the ladies. Slim-figured women can easily get that slick look with tight jeans and polo neck or float tops. Tight jeans go best with ballet flats or knee-high boots. The latest in tight jeans is stretch. Stretch jeans have a constituent called spandex in varying proportions, which makes the jeans hug your body and flatten the flab.

Tight jeans have been widely criticized for their effect on health. Too-tight jeans are known to have caused nerve disorder in women and infertility in men. One should not be too adamant to try to get in a pair of tight jeans that is hard to put on and harder to take off. After all, the last thing a fashion-conscious person would want is to get his/her jeans surgically removed! In addition, if you are wearing a pair of jeans that are too tight, be careful not to put your cell phone in your pocket. According to a survey, getting crushed in tight jeans is the second-most-common reason for destruction of cell phones.

Despite the hazards, tight jeans, if worn with discretion, can be the most stylish piece of clothing one can own.
